Rating
In accordance with the Valuation Act 2001 the Valuation Office has begun commenced the operation of revaluing the entirety of commercial properties in the country for the purposes of arriving at a Rateable Valuation for each and every property to which a multiplier (set by the relevant County Council) will be applied to calculate each rated occupier's rateable liability.
Areas already revalued include Fingal, South Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
The process of revaluation is currently underway in the Dublin City Council area with a revaluation date of the 7th of April 2011 being adopted.
We can provide the following consultancy services to rateable occupiers:
- Inspection of the relevant property.
- Advice on the viability of a successful submission/appeal at representation and appeal stage and ultimately appeal to the valuation tribunal.
- Preparation of representations and appeal documentation for submission to the Valuation Office.
- Negotiation with the Valuation office on behalf of our Client.
Should you wish to discuss engaging us to perform an assessment for rateable valuation purposes please contact the office either by way of telephone or e-mail.
